I decided that I would give the new beta version a try with parallex layers since I've been having so many problems in the past. However, when I test a game or build a game, if parallex layers is checked on in the options menu, then the test game or built game crashes. It works fine if parallex layers aren't checked. Any ideas?

I'm not sure why parallax layers would cause problems. Would it be possible for you to export your game project, zip it up and post it online so I can test it out?

I tried to re-create the level again after re-installing PGF and it still doesn't work. I even tried it on my work computer. Not sure what's going wrong.

Which files do I need to zip?

And where should I place the files? Filefront?

thanks,

Hmmm.... since you can't open it in PGF any more, try going to Macintosh HD / Users / [Your User Name] / Library / Application Support / Power Game Factory / Game Project Files. You'll find a folder there bearing the name of your game project. Zip it up and post it on the web. Filefront is fine, if you don't have any other options. Sorry to hear about the crashes. I'm looking forward to figuring out what's going wrong with your project.

Jesse,

I finally figured it out! It was a file naming issue, not sure why I didn't think of it before, but it was conflicting with the way I was naming all of the files, which led to numerous crashes and corrupt files.

However, I found one other wierd bug. I have my game set up to zoom out to 55% at the begining of the level, and every time you die it keeps zooming out even more making everything in the game smaller and smaller except for the character and menu bars. Then once you die three times and start a new game everything in the background is black. I can email you a completed level if you would like to see.

Thanks for all of your help.
